We want you to love our Buffet Lunches but understand that many of our customers across Manchester and Salford have concerns surrounding environment, energy & sustainability. We share these concerns and are committed to minimising the impact of our catering business on this beautiful planet.

THINGS WE CARE ABOUT

We at Impact Catering believe absolutely that we have a responsibility to trade in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. We are committed to ‘positive buying’ favouring ethical products which cause minimum harm to, or exploitation of, humans, animals, and the natural environment.
We take this responsibility seriously so we do the following :

REDUCE FOOD MILES

We operate a sustainable procurement policy. By sourcing ingredients locally wherever possible we reduce our foodmiles, as well as supporting North West businesses and the local economy.

RECYCLING

Impact Catering recycle all waste oil, cardboard, cans, paper, glass, batteries and plastics.

COMPOSTING

All green and brown waste is composted.

FAIRTRADE

Fairtrade promises a stable price and a long term trading relationship, guaranteeing producers a better deal. At Impact Catering we only serve Fairtrade tea, coffee, sugar, orange and apple juice.

FREE RANGE

All fresh eggs used by Impact Catering are free-range. Hens that produce free-range eggs must have had, during at least half their lifetime, continuous daytime access to open-air runs. All fresh chicken used in dishes cooked by Impact Catering chef’s are British and farm assured ensuring that the welfare of the chickens we use is of the highest standard

ONE WATER

Impact Catering only stock One Water. One Water delivers a truly ethical alternative to other bottle water brands and is changing the lives of thousands of African people. 100% of One Waters profits fund roundabout pumps, these are called PlayPumps®. The PlayPump ® uses a specially crafted children’s roundabout to pump water from deep underground. So, as children play, fresh clean water is pumped into a storage tank for use by the entire community.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

We will ensure that the food to be served at your event is prepared in accordance with The 1994 Food Hygiene Act Regulations and The Food Safety Act 1990 and is transported to the site under strict temperature controlled conditions.

All Health and Safety regulations and legislation for Outside Events will be adhered to with precision. We continually review the latest recommendations and legislation.

A full copy of the company’s Health and Safety Policy and details of our Public Liability Insurance (£5 million ceiling) can be provided on request.
